Here are a few questions that we've been asked many times,
Nope! We encourage you to use our recommended vendors because they know the castle and we know they do a great job. But you can use anyone you'd like, professional or personal friend, as long as you use a licensed caterer.
We do allow open flame candles; just don't let the wax run! You can decorate the castle anyway you'd like to create the mood you envision, although the castle is beautiful just like it is. Just remember what goes up must come down, and please don't use nails or other fasteners that might leave damage.
The castle is available for overnight rental (in conjunction with an event only) and can be rented for up to four consecutive nights. Castle Ladyhawke sleeps up to 12 overnight guests and rents for $1600 per night.

We know that dogs are family, too. If your dog is in the wedding party, of course he/she is welcome. But please ask them not to invite guests; we do not have facilities to handle multiple canines and do not allow them to be left in vehicles. So ask your guests to leave their furkids home, please. And yes, your dog is welcome to stay with you if you rent the castle for an overnight stay.
Alcohol can be an expensive part of your wedding celebration; you may buy your own beer/wine/liquor and bring it to the castle to save money. If you bring more than 5 liters of liquor and fortified wine to the castle you'll have to get a special event license from the NC Alcohol and Beverage board. This license costs $50 and the application can be downloaded from their website. on line.
